Brisbane City Pops Orchestra presents
DOWN MEMORY LANE
Live Orchestra

Sunday 12th March – 2pm

BCPO is proud to present our first concert of 2017, entitled “Down Memory Lane”.
Take a nostalgic journey to visit some very beautiful and memorable music.

Be delighted by selections of amazing music from two famous composers, George Gershwin and Franz Lehar, as well as one of Tchaikowsky’s most loved compositions, “Waltz of the Flowers.”

We will remember some famous marches, with a selection entitled “Britain Marches,” the rousing “Dam Busters March” by Eric Coates and “March of the Gladiators” by Fucik.

Our conductor, Chen Yang, will delight you with his beautiful violin solo in “As Time Goes By” by Cole Porter.

Annika Hinricks, our very popular guest soprano, will thrill you with some old favourites, including “Songs of Vera Lynn” and “Voices of Spring”, as well as the beautiful aria, “Caro Nome” by Verdi. Annika will also lead the audience in a singalong of some wonderful songs from the past.

Come with us and enjoy a wonderful musical journey Down Memory Lane!
